Agent Keys

Agent keys are a platform feature that allows seamless trading without signing every single transaction.

What is an Agent Key?

When you first log in, Relentless creates a local agent key — a secondary key pair that is authorized to execute trades on your behalf. This is a standard feature used by most trading frontends.

How It Works

  1. Login — You authenticate via email or wallet

  2. Agent creation — A new key pair is generated locally in your browser

  3. Approval — You sign a one-time EIP-712 message to authorize this agent key

  4. Trading — All subsequent orders, cancellations, and TP/SL modifications are signed by the agent key silently (no popups)

What Can an Agent Key Do?

  • Place and cancel orders

  • Set leverage

  • Set TP/SL

  • Transfer between perps and spot accounts

What Can't an Agent Key Do?

  • Cannot withdraw funds — Only your master key can initiate withdrawals

  • Cannot approve new agents — Only your master key can authorize agents

Storage

Agent keys are stored in your browser's localStorage. Clearing browser data or logging out removes the agent key. You'll need to re-approve a new one on your next login.
